Simple Christmas Cookies You Need to Make

One of the things I look most forward to around the holidays is baking. I have four favorite Christmas cookies that I bake each year and the best part is they’re simple to make!

I have so many childhood memories making Christmas cookies with my grandmother. For our family, Christmas cookie staples have always been Peanut Butter Blossoms, Sugar Cookies, Anise Cookies and Chocolate Crinkles.

Last year I went a tad baking crazy and made close to ten different cookies for Christmas and I honestly couldn’t look at a cookie for a few months. This year we’re keeping it simple and sticking with the family staples.

I also decided to make Pizelle cookies for the first time. My grandmother and I came across my Nonnie’s (great-grandmother) Pizelle maker in the basement and I thought it would be a nice addition this year. The coolest part is my Nonnie purchased the Pizelle maker back in 1983 and it still works great!

I linked my favorite recipe for each Christmas cookie below.

  1. PEANUT BUTTER BLOSSOMS
  2. SUGAR COOKIES
  3. CHOCOLATE CRINKLES
  4. ANISE COOKIES

One last thing, I love little details, so I go to Michaels Arts & Crafts every year and buy their adorable cookie tins. When you’re having to travel distances for the holidays these are the way to go!
